I en videointervju blir det ofta att vissa delar klipps bort för att den inte ska bli för lång. En fråga som klipptes bort var den om att bandet tydligen redan har flera låtar klara för ett eventuellt nytt album efter “Repentless”. Tom nämner bl a att sista låten “Pride and prejudice” på nya albumet, först gick under titeln “Halloween”.
Tom Araya: We went in and did a lot of stuff and we basically focused on the songs that he (Kerry) had already put together entirely, words and all, and had ideas for. The other songs were also songs that he had been working on for a while. He really didn´t have anything written for them, but he wanted to put them down on tape. I think there´s like six songs. Then he came up with a song out of the blue, that he was starting to piece together. It was called “Halloween” because he came up with it or started putting it together around Halloween. That was one where I said “Let´s see if I can come up with something for that one?” and that´s the one called “Pride in prejudice” (last track on the album). That´s the one I wrote and it was an idea I had approached a long time ago and I could never make it work in anything. This time I said “Let me try this.”, since I had a lot of it written already and I had a lot of ideas written for it. It was more of a… I don´t wanna say poem, but it was more of something more structured out. I tried it, but it didn´t work and then things just kinda came up in my head and it sounded cool and it worked. That´s one I penned and that´s my contribution to that and then I also made the other songs better. You know, with my lyrical magic. (laughs)
