Touché Amoré invaderar Sverige. Med hjälp utav ett nytt omtalat album är de här för att finna fler fans. I intervjun med sångaren Jeremy Bolm så pratas det bland annat om ett kommande släpp, tillsammans med Self Defense Family.
Rocksverige- You have not been in Gothenburg for a while now, welcome back.
Bolm- Yes, you are right. I don’t think we have been here since the Self Defense tour. Or no, we did’t play here that time, last time was with Converge.
Rocksverige- How does it feel to be back in town?
Bolm- It’s nice to actually see it when the sun’s out. Last time it was so cold, we couldn’t even take a walk. It was just to snowy last time we were here. I have always heard that Sweden get’s sunlight, so it’s nice to finally see it. I had some time to walk around a little bit. My friend Mathias got a friend who have opened a coffee shop, so we went there earlier and we also walk through a park and stuff. I have also walk around just near the venue to kill time and it’s very nice here.
Rocksverige- It’s a half year since you released your latest album, Is Survived By. What separates that album from your earlier releases?
Bolm- We have just grew new songs and all those usual answers. Everyone have gone better at their instruments and I have gone better at writing songs and we have kind of learned our roles in the band a little better.
Rocksverige- Is Survived By is your third record, but you have released a bunch of splits as well?
Bolm- Correct. Splits are always fun to do and we enjoy releasing as much that we can do on vinyl. There is something special about split releases, it’s a fun effort to collaborate with another band. I’m sure we have a ton more splits by the time we break up.
Rocksverige- What band have been the most fun to work with?
Bolm- It’s really hard to say. I think the La Dispute one because we sang on each others songs and everything. We have just recorded a new split with Self Defense Family, witch is not out yet. We wrote everything together and it’s three songs with everybody playing on it. It was like two drum sets, five guitars and the whole thing.
Rocksverige- How was the timing on everything when there’s two drum sets and all of that?
Bolm- It took a few times to record but It think it turned out really awesome. I’m exited to actually hear it done, because we’re waiting for the final mixes at the moment. The guy who recorded it, his name is Will Yip. He have done everybody’s records recently, he just did the new La Dispute and he’s in the studio right now with Circa Survive, so I don’t really think that we are his first prior right now.
